A Beginning

It started with an idea. An idea I had whilst sipping coffee, in my garden, on my day off.
I wanted to show my creative process, be a little more transparent with my thought process on how I come up with shoot ideas. I wanted coffee to be the catalyst to this as it is my saviour. My elixir of life.
I wanted to show this through the coffee cup emptying as I descend into madness and out the other side.
The first collection of photos show the start of the arc. The intention. Everything is setup and ready for planning. It's clean. It's clear.
The Process

The next 5 photos show the process underway. Coffee has been drank, notebook scrawled in, paper balled up. It's the descent into the mind of me. You can see items have been moved around as I'm looking into inspiration from the music. Post-it notes being used to highlight key thoughts. We are on our way.
The Madness

Madness has taken over the frame. The creative process in full infuriating flow. More of the coffee drunk. More time has passed. More screwed up paper, more post-it notes. The snapped pencil symbolising the frustration of not finding the right outcome, the right frame. The Post-it notes asking key questions.
The Result

And the result has finally hit, shown by the single post-it note on the black notebook, "Got it".
Coffee has been drank, the pencil back together. Fragments of my frustration have been recovered and pieced back together. Closure.
For now.
